My friends and I stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed keeping in shape with all the steps. We loved the cottages and the food was great and the staff were helpful. There was not A/C but we did have a fan and the temperatures were decent in this time of year. It was a good place to stay while we had tours of the spice and coffee plantation.

Lovely, set back and laid back property

A charming property of individual bungalows, set in beautiful greenery. The pool is right at the top of the property, which might make access tricky for people having difficulty climbing stairs (also: sunbeds are laid out ready with 2 towels each, and that seems a little bit of a waste, given that people maybe stay for short periods by the pool and then they have to be washed without really being used?) There is a kind of moat to walk across to access the hotel, in which there are wonderful datura plants and some geese. If you walk out of the property to the right and then down one of the little lanes, you get to see some beautiful things, wild coffee, chilli and more. Generally the hotel can be a little chaotic, with check-in/out and breakfast orders but there is a charm that overrides that. Wi-Fi is erratic. Beds are very comfortable. We took the early boat on Lake Periyar, it was perhaps the least interesting venture we had during our stay.

Nice place. The food was nice and the place is very beautiful. The only problem is that when we had gone there to book, we asked them to show us a room for 2, the elegant room. They showed us the room they have for 3 occupants which is a little bigger and bathroom was better, at the time they did not say it was for 3 occupants and when we payed and were going they gave us a smaller room. We had to fight a little and tell them that they should have shown us the room that they were going to give not some random room. In the end we got the room we had liked initially. But it was a little unpleasant. Overall the people were very nice. The house keeping staff is friendly. Apart from this little hiccup I would say it was a good place. They have rabbits and ducks at property and we could go and see them as well.

The hidden gem, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Kumily town, was a great break for us. We loved the property, amenities, spa, the elegant rooms in cottages, at a height in lush green plantations. We were received warmly and made comfortable through out our two nights stay. If you want to just relax and unwind in quiet and peace, this is the ideal resort. They have a good swimming pool. Don’t miss a Ayurvedic message in their spa. Food is okay. Buffer breakfast was a sumptuous experience. However, if you want activities, restaurants and shopping, then Kumily town isn’t far away. The resort is close to the pickup point for Periyar Wildlife Reserve. We would get back to this resort every time we visit Thekkady. Rooms were spacious, clean and welcoming with a sit out facing the plantation. This resort is a fine blend of traditional, yet modern setting. Highly recommended!
